1 Star Failed on first use
This product had to be returned. On the first attempt to dial a phone number the display froze. The instruction booklet provided no help. Could not find a way to clear the display. Did not like all the fancy colored attachments. This phone is more about appearance than utility.
4 Stars Vtech cordless phone LS6217
I like everything about this except for the comfort of holding it. It does not have the usual rounded back that I am used to.
4 Stars VERY GOOD/COOL PHONE BUT YOU CAN ONLY USE ONE HANDSET
THE TITLE SAYS IT ALL. THIS IS A VERY GOOD PHONE. I BOUGHT FOR A STEAL ON CLEARANCE AT A BIG BOX STORE. IT SUCKS THAT YOU CAN’T UPGRADE TO MORE THAN ONE HANDSET. MY BATTERY TIME SUCKS…BUT IT’S PROBABLY BEEN SETTING IN THAT STORE FOR A COUPLE OF YEARS!
1 Star Horrible phone
I got this as a gift, I had no idea it doesn’t have a hands free mode. What crappy company would make a phone in the year 2009 without a speakerphone? I have a Vtech phone from 1999 with a speakerphone. Even free cell phones have speakerphones. Also, the phone itself is not comfortable to hold. Do not buy this horrible phone.

5 Stars A good buy
Bought it more than one month ago as a replacement of my previous 5.8GHz cordless phone. I had a gift certificate plus there was an on-line promotion at that time, therefore, it was a good buy for me. This is a DECT phone which works as a stand-alone phone (including the base station, not just a handset expansion). I tested with friends, all of them said that the sound quality was very good. Easy to navigate through the menu and settings. Provide “pause” which is useful when using a calling card. I haven’t found any disappointment yet. So far, I am very pleased with it.
5 Stars GREAT
Excelent, modern, very functional unit! My old 2.4 Giga phone gets cut-off during almost every conversation – never happens with this dect 6.0! Great!
4 Stars Pros and Cons
Pros: Relatively cheap, especially if you are not paying Amazon.com price. You can get these phones for 19.99 elsewhere. Small footprint. Looks good. Intuitive setup. Sound comes through loud and clear.
Cons: So far, everyone I have called told me that there is breakup and static and other artifacts on their end….worse than my dead Uniden cordless phone (also a cheapie.)
Summary: Decent for the price, but definitely not perfect.
5 Stars Great phone Great price!
Does everything I hoped it would. Good range and sturdy construction – I’ve dropped it more than a couple of times with no problems…

Our old AT&T portable phone bit the dust, and I wanted something with more power and portability. Bought these, and am amazed on the simplicity of the system. Not a big electric whiz, but these were very simple to set up and operate. Love the fact you program one phone with the directory, and all the other phones have the numbers on them. Very nice. Good quality sound, nice features. Now, we have a portable phone in the bedroom, living room and computer room. No more having to run from one room to another getting the phone. Would buy them again in a heartbeat.
4 Stars A great functional phone for the price.
Pros:
- Comes with 3 handsets. I spent a lot more money for only 2 handsets with my last phone. Plus, you can expand up to 12 on the cheap with this model.
- All the phones share one phone number directory! For other phones, you have to manually enter it in one phone, then copy the number to all the other phones. What a pain! This one is worry free.
- DECT 6.0 technology. It’s on a different frequency than wi-fi, so I’m happy about that. Haven’t had any dropouts or interference since we got this phone.
- You can access and dial from the directory while on a call. This is great if you want to dial using Google Voice.
- Shows the current date and time which is really convenient. What’s pretty novel is that it syncs the date and time when you have Caller ID and someone calls. Pretty good idea.
Cons:
- You can’t name the handsets on these phones. Not a big deal, but you have to memorize that handset 1 is in the living room, handset 2 is in the kitchen, etc. if you want to select the right phone for the intercom.
- The talk and flash functions are on the same button. This is annoying for me when I use the speakerphone and then press the green talk/flash button to turn off the speaker, and then accidentally hang up. Luckily, I can switch back right away without losing the person, but I wish the functions were separate.
Overall, it is a great phone system, especially for the price. You really can’t go wrong with this system.
5 Stars Love this V-tech phone!
I received my new phone with the three handsets promptly and hooked it all up and it is just wonderful! so easy to set up and the sound quality is supurb! Especially the speakerphone option.. I can’t find anything I don’t like about this phone. Thanks V-Tech for this great phone! Thanks to Amazon for offering this phone at a fair price!
4 Stars affordable basic phone system
Good range and clear audio, easy to setup. Incoming message number indication not as bright as I would like. Of no importance to me color is black/silver not black/white
4 Stars V-Tech 3-handset cordless phone
Well, I do like this phone. I had a V-Tech before and it just died. Trying new batteries didn’t help. I ordered this phone due to the 3-handset feature. It works perfectly. It was supposed to be black/white but is black/silver. That is okay. It wasn’t worth sending back for that. The price was exceptional. No problems so far. The sound is great, the answering machine works great. I LUV the feature that allows different ring tones for each handset. Overall, a great phone. Just wish the color had been correct. Maybe, Amazon should correct this in the listing.
