We’re generally pleased with these phones and the answering machine. The only negetive I have found is sometimes when I answer the phone there is an initial echo that goes away after a short time.

We love these phones. So much we bought the same ones for my folks for Christmas. I love the fact that it has 3 phones, you can retrive your messages from any phone, and you preprogram your phone numbers like a cell phone and by just a touch of a button you have made your call.

4 Stars Short on basics, but lots of extras
I have very mixed feelings about these phones. On one hand, the phones and bases are not too sturdy, the sound is a bit tinny, and I’m always hitting the wrong buttons. On the other hand, there are some features I wasn’t expecting that are rather cool.

Bases are rather flimsy and wouldn’t withstand much mishandling. The sound problem seems to happen when I’m near my computer, so there may be an interference issue. My problems with the buttons are that the soft and hard keys are rather close together. Part of it is just adjusting to the new handset.

A couple of features were pleasant surprises. Like my cell phone, I can select ring tones for individuals. There is also an audible caller ID for those who I’ve programmed in.

5 Stars Great Upgrade!
We purchased this phone to replace a different brand that was having charging issues. It was a great choice. We love the larger and bolder screen on the handsets. I personally really appreciate the “talking caller ID.” It makes it much easier when in the middle of doing something,I don’t have to run to the phone to see who’s calling, the phone tells ya!! Love it. My next favorite feature is that once you have you “phonebook” together, the caller ID tells ya who’s calling according to what was put in the phonebook. I personnally can’t remember everyones cell number, so now it tells me the callers name, instead of something generic like “wireless caller” and the number…..that doesn’t tell me a thing. LOL. Its a great phone, easy to use and program as you see fit. It can be expanded if more handsets are needed. Great for the price!

Replacement for older panasonic cordless. Reliable product, which has plenty of features. Easy to set up, not as intuitive to operate, however a few minutes reading intructions, set up of voice mail, directory was made very easy.

4 Stars A very nice phone…
I have had no problems with this phone. The sound quality is fine. I have the base on the second floor and I can use the phone in the yard or in the basement. You should note that the construction of the phone may lead to some problems depending on the dexterity of the user. To use the menu, you often have to push the main button, which is more like a joystick. If it is not pushed correctly, you may make an unintended selection. If the phone is used by those, who are not particularly steady (e.g. those with tremors), you may want to consider another model. Features that I like include flashing when there is a voice mail message, lighting up when it rings (particularly at night), and the number missed calls are indicated on the main screen. It has an answering machine but if you use voice mail, it may not be useful.

5 Stars Fantastic headset – you won’t be disappointed!
I’ve owned this headset for about 6 months now and wanted to write a review on it, because I’ve been so impressed with it!

I work at home so I use this unit daily. I haven’t had one issue with it and found it extremely simple to use. I’m a little hard of hearing so it would be difficult to do my job effectively if I didn’t have this to use every day.

The range is great – I keep it on for things like walking down to the mailbox (100+ feet) and not even a crackle. The volume is adjustable so that it is very loud if needed. Sometimes on conference calls others have background noise, speak softly, problems with their phone – and it can be turned up to handle situations like that.

I like the fact that it’s simple, and there are not a bunch of options. Just your basic features. Battery time is great. A couple of days ago I was on calls on & off for about 6 hours. Didn’t even need to recharge it. Also very comfortable.

I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.

5 Stars Plantronics CT14 an excellent phone
I purchased my Plantronics CT14 Cordless Headset Phone from Fry’s Electronics (a consumer electronics and appliance store in California, USA) for $97.99 in June of 2009. Today’s date is December 16, 2009, nearly six months later. In a few words, I love this phone! Moreover, I’m a very picky person so a product really needs to work well before I’m enthused enough to write good things about it. Please take a look at my other reviews, in particular the review I wrote eight years ago on the Panasonic KX-TG2570B Cordless Phone, that phone was a complete fiasco to say the least.

I bought the CT14 phone because my girlfriend and I love to talk for hours each morning. She calls me at 5AM and we usually talk until 8AM every weekday, sometimes we continue talking until 9AM. We average at least 2.5 to 3 hours each morning of the weekday. During the past six months I told her that I was so happy with this phone that she ought to buy one too, she did a few months ago and we’ve both consistently used this phone daily. So, rest assured that this review comes with six months of daily experience. Keep in mind, however, that I only use the phone to talk so I haven’t used the features very much (hey, I just want to talk to my girlfriend, not play with the phone!). Anyway, on with my review.

The battery life is absolutely and without any doubt excellent! How I wish other consumer electronics could be relied upon like the Plantronics CT14! I’ve never drained the battery to the point of it needed to be charged. I never think about battery life, ever! Once we talked for the usual three hours, then I forgot to place the phone in the charging cradle and the next morning we talked for another three hours and my battery never ran out of juice. I love it!

I have no problems with audio. The headset uses a microphone that is extended toward your mouth making it easy to pick up one’s voice even if they talk softly. I haven’t had a problem with volume at my end. Audio quality is a big deal to me (again, take a look at my previous review).

Like I said, I haven’t used features much, just the mute, volume and some kind of scrolling function used to see who called during the day when I was out. I can’t give a proper review of these features other than saying the two features I did use were intuitive.

I also cannot comment directly on range, because I live in a very small 750 sq. ft. one bedroom apartment and therefore the phone is never very far from its base However, my girlfriend who has the same phone has walked all over her house (it’s a large house – 2000 to 2400 sq. ft. – at least). She’s even taken the phone outside the house out on the street while talking to me, neither of us noticed any degradation in quality. I conclude the range is definitely good.

I’m now buying another CT14 to give to my mother for a Christmas present (the reason why I’m on Amazon!).

Overall I definitely give this product five stars! I gave four stars for range and features, but as stated I really can’t review features and have indirectly experienced decent range. Anyway, that concludes my review and I hope they never change a thing, because this phone just works beautifully!

4 Stars Good mobile unit
Overall I’m quite happy with this phone. Sound quality and battery life seem to be very good so far; I’ve also been pleasantly surprised by how far one can wander from the base, and still retain a good, noise-free connection.

The headset comfort is only fair, and the cord feels flimsy–I fear it may fail sooner rather than later, especially because, when one roams about with the headset on, and the phone clipped to one’s belt, it’s very easy to snag the cable.

Note that the “dial” buttons are quite small and close together. This works for me, but my hands aren’t particularly large, and have a fair degree of dexterity (I’m a musician in another life.)

3 Stars Good Phone If Its Price Was $40
Outside of the fact the phone is small and can be clipped to your belt, it’s nothing to write home about. The phone doesn’t have speaker phone capability and even though the phone is manufactured by Plantronics, there is no BlueTooth built in which I would expect when buying a small Plantronics phone. Would not recommend this model.

5 Stars AN INVESTMENT WITH MANY DIVIDENDS
I own a corded Plantronics headset phone that I still use; it’s 30 years old and still works wonderfully. Because of this experience, almost 4 years ago, I bought the CT12 cordless headset phone. I have not one day been disappointed with any part of this phone either. After nearly 4 years, I am just today [12/16/09] buying my first replacement battery for my CT12. I have spent as much as 8 hours at a time talking on my cordless phone, without benefit of recharging in between. I would recommend Plantronics to anyone who cares to heed my message. I am a lifetime fan of Plantronics equipment!

3 Stars Great Style, Weak Reception
I bought this phone set to replace my previous 2.4GHz Panasonic Cordless / Answering Machine set. The old set lasted a solid five years, which is the longest I have ever had one last out here in rural Arizona. It just isn’t worth trying to replace a base unit plus a bunch of old batteries when you can buy a whole set for less money.

I like a lot of things about this new set. The display is much easier to read, and I really like the feel of the handsets. The button layout is simplified, and functions well. The battery life appears to be longer. My WiFi performance is a little stronger now that we do not have another system sharing the same frequency range (although the old systems did not directly interfere with each other). I like the fact that the speed dial directory no longer has to be copied to each handset.

I have one primary complaint with the new system, and that is its reception range. I live in a remote area, and it was really great when the Gigarange series first came out for us. We were finally able to keep a phone in the shop and down at the corrals without the need to trench and run phone wires there. The corrals are about 60 feet from the base unit, while the shop is closer to 150 feet. When I set up the new system, I put all the phones in the same spots as the old ones. I cannot reliably obtain a signal in the shop. I guess having to go through the second set of walls is too much for this new system. Panasonic makes a booster unit for similar products sold in England, but it will not work with the North American version because the frequencies are a little different.

The range issue would not be that big of a deal if you were going to use your phones inside the home, or maybe out on the porch or during a walk to the end of the driveway to get the mail. If you are planning to use it in a farm or ranch application, though, you’re going to run out of signal strength in your outbuildings.

5 Stars love my cordless phones and handinessof them
I had a set of panasonic phones (3) before. Had them for years and they served me well. One finally got a flaw and may just have needed a new battery. When I saw this great deal on a set of new ones and more of them in the set, I had to have them. It is great to have one handy all the time no matter where in the house I am.

The sound is great, they are lighter than the old ones. I am very happy with the new set. Would buy them again!!

5 Stars Just plain works great
We have had cordless phones since they first came out way back in the stone ages, like when they had 2 foot antennas on them. Each new one we purchased had new features that were nice, but I could always find room for improvement. I figured it would be the same with the Panasonic Dect 6.0. The set could take one more phone which I bought at the same time – it should have been a complete set. Outside of this issue, I can find no fault with the package. It is easy to set up, store numbers and use. That is it. Sounds great on both ends. Can’t think of a thing I would change. For once I feel I got my money’s worth.

I like this multi-handset phone system as I am a disabled vet and these phones are placeable in many rooms in my large two-story home. My only regret is that one has to go through several steps to reach someone on the intercom, which my old Panasonic system didn’t require. As well if you dial a particular intercom and the person is in a room with a different intercom number, they cannot just answer it. Specifically, one has to dial the exact intercom number for each phone, instead of the connection being universal. Otherwise, this set is a smart buy with an attractive look, good sound quality, and a minimum of set-up. I would definitely recommend this set for purchase.
