5 Stars A great cordless phone for not too much money
We bought this one to replace an old Radio Shack unit that was starting to wear out. Initially we were looking at a Panasonic unit that offered call blocking, a feature we wanted to stop those annoying telemarketing calls. After some searching I found this unit, which also offered the call blocking capability. After some serious comparison shopping we opted to go with this unit, which so far we have not regretted at all. It’s relatively easy to set up, although the directions leave a bit to be desired in my opinion. We bought an additional unit for this and all three remote units easily synched with the base unit. One unit did have a totally dead battery in it, but it quickly recharged after being left on the charger. We can’t begin to say how much we love the call blocking feature. It’s remarkably easy to add a number, either when it’s ringing or by searching through the call history. Suddenly our house is much quieter now and we can actually get some peace and quiet knowing this unit is stopping those pesky telemarketers. The one feature I wish it had is a lighted push to talk button. If you pick up the phone in the dark you can’t tell which button is the one to push to answer it, which can be kind of annoying if you’ve been woken up to answer the phone. While the keypad is lighted, it would be most helpful if the other buttons were as well. We’ve also found the battery to last a long time, which is refreshing given the fact that our old Radio Shack batteries were starting to wear out. Overall we’re very happy with this new unit and would happily recommend it to anyone looking for a phone that has lots of features, a good price, and nice styling.

5 Stars Great Value in a Cordless Phone
The DECT2185-3 cordless phone system, like most of Uniden’s phones offers the consumer great value for the money.

This phone set has a 70-name directory capacity with each handset having the same or different contacts (your option. It’s extremely versatile. Most manufacturers only offer a 50-capacity directory with all handsets sharing the same contacts.

Although the DECT 2185-3 includes 3 handsets, you can add an additional 3 for a total of 6. Each extra handset (DCX210) is a very reasonable $29.99 each.

Other plusses include excellent sound quality, 8 ringer tones, most of which are melodic–not harsh tones. If you want the Star Spangled Banner as your ring tone, this phone has it!. A lighted keypad and base and battery display are also included.

Only negative with this phone is that a larger LCD screen would make it even easier to read, especially for someone with visual impairment.

If you are looking for a cordless phone set that offers features as opposed to style, this is one to consider.

5 Stars actually model # BT-446
This is actually battery BT-446 for Uniden phones. There is no BP-446. I contacted customer service and they were not able to correct it. I wanted the Uniden batttery and not a generic as the generic can be defficient and this was a super price.

3 Stars They work, but do not last.
What do you need? It’s a battery. The original only lasted about 1.5 years. Not too good if you ask me. I decided to go with the original battery again. They hold a charge really well, but simultaneously died on my at about the same time. (My phone has a base and a satellite phone as well. I was not as diligent as I should have been with regards to keeping phone on charger when not in use. So far, the new batteries I am using are working great. Time will tell how they will last.

5 Stars Better than New at Blue Grass Battery.
Blue Grass Battery has the best deals I’ve run across in a long time.

I have bought several battery chargers from them. Arrive a few days after the purchace, well packed and reasonable postage. They come with specific instructions, work exactly as advertised or better, great customer service on line or by phone. They are willing to answer ANY question, or direct me to the correct answer if they don’t know it right away. This charger is a 3Hr. charger and works wonderfully, it’s even better than the charger that came with the drill & saw I bought new. Blue Grass Battery does what they advertise.

DIDN’T CHARGE THE BATTERY EVEN AFTER BEING LEFT ON ALL NIGHT. ANOTHER CHARGER DID WORK AND NOW I’M HAPPY.

4 Stars review for 14.4 volt battery charger

product has performed as designed. the statement (warning) that came with the charger is quite hard to understand. example : if the equipment is being used and the battery is depleted (will not operate the equipment ), the voltage on the battery will probably be less than the voltage listed on tne warning letter. Everything worked fine.

1 Star This is not the charger to buy.
The PS180 is a waste of money. It’s just cheap junk. WHY they even make such junk is beyond me.

Buy something much better like the DeWalt DW9116 or DW9310 charger (I already had two of them). The DW9310 is the best choice. These chargers can charge Firestorm batteries, 7.2 volt up to 18 volt.

I did not realize the Firestorm 14.4 volt batteries would fit in the DeWalt charger, but thanks to a previous reviewer, this is what I am now doing. So, as it turns out I didn’t have to buy a new charger, and I did not need new batteries (I thought the batteries were done, but they charged up fine). I believe almost any battery that fits in the charger and is rated 7.2 to 18 volts will charge fine.

PS NEVER EVER EVER leave a battery in a charger if the charger is not powered. This will drain your battery completely and probably KILL it! I’ve had this happen with the 9116 charger.

I got a PS180 with my FireStorm cordless drill, and recently found it to be dead. I replaced it with a DeWalt 9116 charger, which charges faster, can charge a range of different battery pack voltages, and has a reconditioning mode. I strongly recommend the DeWalt charger over the PS180.

Please ignore the negative reviews. This light is great. I have used it extensively and never had any issues with its construction or quality. I have several portable lights, but this is the light I go to beacuse it works great, in either regular or flashlight mode.

4 Stars Makita BML184 Decent Flashlight
I have just about every tool in the Makita LXT line. The flashlight is good but not up to the same standards as the rest of the excellent LXT line up. The fluorescent part works great – bright and runs for a long time on a battery charge. I am very happy with the performance of the fluorescent portion. The flashlight is virtually useless. It’s about as bright as an old 6 volt lantern. You should consider this part of it non-existent. I also had problems with my first one – it would on it’s own start randomly looping through the lights – fluorescent on, fluorescent off, flashlight on, flashlight off. I had to pay to send it back to Makita but they fixed it under warranty. I have had no issues with it since.

3 Stars Nice on fluorescent side, flashlight part is worthless
I use this light quite often, the fluorescent light is bright and really lights up the place. I have 2 complaints:

* The incandescent flashlight bulbs burn out very quickly. I’ve replaced them several times, and I have been careful to get the correct bulbs in the Makita packaging. They just must get too hot in the lens and burn out. I’ve given up on that side, use a regular Maglite if I need a beam.

* They are very fussy about the battery charge. Once the battery even starts to go below full charge, the light shuts off. Not gets dim, it just shuts off with no warning. Pretty annoying when you’re under a sink or in otherwise tight quarters and suddenly in the dark.

I’m still glad I bought it, but you should be aware of these issues.

4 Stars Handy little light
I purchased this light for a couple of reasons. First, there are situations where a regular flashlight just doesn’t cover a broad enough area. The fluorescent light on this satisfies that need. Its 180 degree lighting area provides sufficient light in a smaller area. It works perfect for hanging in an engine compartment to work on a car. Secondly, I have other 18v Makita tools and its nice to be able to use those batteries for this light. Would of given it 5 stars but the second light on the end of the tool is a little weak. Overall, a good flashlight.

4 Stars Works GREAT
I’m not sure what was wrong with the light that other reviewer received because you sure can’t get quality like this at the dollar store. Very sturdy construction! The fluorescent light works great. The incandescent light is just OK. I’m not sure why Makita is still using incandescent bulbs in their 18v lights when their 10.8v light has a nice bright LED bulb.. (I own that, too). To those who are concerned about forgetting to push the button twice to turn off the light, just take the incandescent bulb out and forget about the “flashlight” portion that you complain about anyway! If anyone’s interested in converting the incandescent light in their BML184 or their BML185, you can get an 18v LED bulb on ebay shipped for under twenty bucks. I put one of those in my BML185 and turned it into a powerful LED spotlight, with better battery life! If the incandescent portion of this light was replaced with a nice bright battery saving LED, I’d rate 5 out of 5.
