5 Stars Great Item – 6 years heavy use, no problems
I’m really puzzled by the reviews. I don’t recall any issues with assembly, if I even had to “assemble” it. Seems to me it was almost ready to go right out of the box. I bought it from Amazon, great service as always. The comments about the string are also puzzling. Buy some different string, which you’ll have to do anyway as you only get a small amount. Get the CORRECT line and I’ve never had a problem in 6 summers of heavy use. Of course it’s heavy, it has a 12 volt battery in it and a drive motor, that’s how it works. What were people expecting? It’s still lighter than a gas model. As far as it not having a large enough cutting area, see where it says “7 inch” in the name? THAT is how big of cutting area. If you wanted more you shouldn’t have bought a 7 inch model. To me this is the best “yard money” I’ve spent. No hassling with gas engines, no cords to drag around, lots of power. No complaints at all. **UPDATE** I just picked up a new one. It is MUCH lighter, and snaps together in a minute. Great improvements!

2 Stars OK only for small areas
Just received it. Tried it twice..

It only has a single line comming out of it.

My property is aprox 4000 sq ft sod in Florida.

It does Ok for regular grass around trees, steps, etc…BUT THATS IT..PERIOD…

Charge holds 15-20 min. for small yard.

YES its not GAS, BUT weighs same… Hope this helps…

3 Stars Okay for small yards
I’ve used it three times now and my preliminary thoughts are as follows:

PROS: Rechargeable, battery has enough power for smaller lawns. Run time is adequate. Not too heavy or bulky.

CONS: To me the biggest disadvantage is the 8″ length of the trimmer. It can’t “reach” far enough. You have to put it very close to the item being trimmed for it to be effective. To edge the grass next to the driveway requires placing the bump feed head on the concrete to get the string close enough.

I would choose another trimmer next time but it’s not bad for small areas.

4 Stars Excellent Product at a Great Price!
Recently purchased a home and needed a trimmer…I was originally going to cheap out and buy a cheaper wired model off of Amazon, however a few friends told me that I should buy a wireless one instead and this was the cheapest one I could find.

Don’t let the price fool you – this is a great product! Simply unplug from the wall when needed, trim away, then plug back in. It does the job great and couldn’t be happier.

The only reason I didn’t give it 5* is because I haven’t replaced the spool yet, so don’t know how hard that will be.

5 Stars Best by test
I had a Toro Trimmer before which just quit working after about 20 years of service.

I was looking for a replacement for it and found the qualifing one in the Toro Model 51467.

All other Trimmers I checked on did not have what I was looking for:

1. Light, balanced and easy to handle.

2. Long lasting Power, Model 51467 has it.

3. Price, a little over $40.00

4. Free shipping from Amazon.

I can go all around the perimeter of my property and also around the perimeter of my home on the same charge.

I am more than just happy with this purchase from Amazon.

In these times I figured someone made a mistake but it’s true.

1 Star Cheap, fragile, fell apart in my hands.
I couldn’t tell you if this thing is bright enough to read by. I couldn’t tell you if it has a strong enough spring to clamp securely onto a book. I couldn’t tell you if it has a large enough circle of light to read hardcover books by. See, I took it out of the little box, pressed to clip it onto a book, and it fell apart in my hands. The hinge went to pieces.

Can’t recommend something that didn’t last long enough to use once.

2 Stars Nice – until it broke!
I bought this reading light and I can tell you is very lightweight. The diameter of the light isn’t that bad (it doesn’t cover two entire pages, though). The only thing I complain is that one day I tried to turn it on and I couldn’t. It wasn’t until I examined it that I realized the cables connecting the switch and the bulb were broken – now, I have NO idea how that happened, but it happened. It’s ok if you’d like something relatively cheap and lightweight.

5 Stars I love this little light!
This is the best book light I have ever seen or used (and I have tried many). And it’s so cute. It bends in any direction, is very lightweight and I love how long the batteries last. But here’s the best part … I can be on my laptop in the middle of the night. You know how sometimes it is hard to see the keyboard and you don’t want to use your battery power to brighten the screen and keyboard? Well this little guy just clips anywhere on your laptop and adds just the right light for the keyboard! I highly recommend it and am going to buy many for Christmas stockings!

4 Stars Good fit on the Kindle
The light is bright enough for reading, but the area it covers needs to be a little bigger so it covers the whole of a book page or the Kindle screen. As it is, it makes a good illumination in most of the Kindle screen, but the edges are dim, and moving the light every page is too much of a hassle, so you just live with it.

The light flickers a little bit when it moves, too. Not too bad, though it makes me nervous.

But what is great about it is that unlike the other book lights, the clip for this one doesn’t block any part of the readable Kindle screen. Most book lights have a vertical clip, but this one’s horizontal. It’s not a perfect fit; the ideal Kindle book light would be fit right to the Kindle’s shape, and I’d buy that in a heartbeat. But this does pretty well.

Well balanced yet heavy duty; cast aluminum base plate; love the left side saw blade so a right-hander can see the cut without having to look over the saw; great price and it came quickly

5 Stars More than I expected
This replaced a similar DeWalt Product. Despite being very inexpensive I feel it is a stronger better built tool.

Simple, straightforward and easy to use like any of these saws are.

While i have no objective way to measure, I think I get many more cuts out of a single charge than the 18V Dewalt.

I reach for this tool much more than I did the DeWalt. When I had the DeWalt I would often use a corded tool, now i tend to use this.

This is a great tool. It is quiet, very smooth running and well balanced. It cuts like it has eyes! 5 Stars Great Tool
This was purchased to enable trimming of limbs too large for our manual pole pruner. My husband and I have been very pleased with how well it works. We have been amazed at how much power the battery provides and how long it lasts between charges. We were able to cut a six inch limb in a Chinese Elm that had cracked but not come down. I appreciate the carry bag provided which enables me to store all the parts neatly between jobs.

This got the job done. Make sure to check the tension of the chain prior to use…mine arrived a little loose. Then to oil it prior to use. It comes with a nice bag for all the extentions/parts.

Bought this to cut palm leaves/branches too high for me to reach from a ladder. When the extension is added, the pole reaches some good distance but a little heavy trying to keep it up when cutting multiple branches at a time. It does balance when held from the center of the pole. So I can’t say that the chain end is heavier than the other. It’s quiet and cuts real good. Make sure you tighten the chain after a couple of cuts. It was loose after three to five cuts.

This saw is only 9.5 feet long (6.5 feet without the extension), will run out of battery before you run out of energy, has to be oiled, and is a little unwieldy due to the weight. But having said that, this saw is great! It allows you to get into and through dense foliage, reaching places that a rope saw could never get to. With a fully charged battery I found that it cut very well. And keep in mind, the reason you still have energy when the battery runs down is that the saw has been doing most of the work. The only problem is that you will have a lot of branches to get rid of when you’re done.
