4 Stars Good for price.
We’re generally pleased with these phones and the answering machine. The only negetive I have found is sometimes when I answer the phone there is an initial echo that goes away after a short time.
5 Stars Panasonic Dect 6.0 Dark Grey Cordless Phone with Answering Machine (KX-TG6433M
We love these phones. So much we bought the same ones for my folks for Christmas. I love the fact that it has 3 phones, you can retrive your messages from any phone, and you preprogram your phone numbers like a cell phone and by just a touch of a button you have made your call.
4 Stars Short on basics, but lots of extras
I have very mixed feelings about these phones. On one hand, the phones and bases are not too sturdy, the sound is a bit tinny, and I’m always hitting the wrong buttons. On the other hand, there are some features I wasn’t expecting that are rather cool.
Bases are rather flimsy and wouldn’t withstand much mishandling. The sound problem seems to happen when I’m near my computer, so there may be an interference issue. My problems with the buttons are that the soft and hard keys are rather close together. Part of it is just adjusting to the new handset.
A couple of features were pleasant surprises. Like my cell phone, I can select ring tones for individuals. There is also an audible caller ID for those who I’ve programmed in.
5 Stars Great Upgrade!
We purchased this phone to replace a different brand that was having charging issues. It was a great choice. We love the larger and bolder screen on the handsets. I personally really appreciate the “talking caller ID.” It makes it much easier when in the middle of doing something,I don’t have to run to the phone to see who’s calling, the phone tells ya!! Love it. My next favorite feature is that once you have you “phonebook” together, the caller ID tells ya who’s calling according to what was put in the phonebook. I personnally can’t remember everyones cell number, so now it tells me the callers name, instead of something generic like “wireless caller” and the number…..that doesn’t tell me a thing. LOL. Its a great phone, easy to use and program as you see fit. It can be expanded if more handsets are needed. Great for the price!
3 Stars Poor planning
Base unit and hand set buttons and printing are very samll making it difficult to operate!

5 Stars A great cordless phone for not too much money
We bought this one to replace an old Radio Shack unit that was starting to wear out. Initially we were looking at a Panasonic unit that offered call blocking, a feature we wanted to stop those annoying telemarketing calls. After some searching I found this unit, which also offered the call blocking capability. After some serious comparison shopping we opted to go with this unit, which so far we have not regretted at all. It’s relatively easy to set up, although the directions leave a bit to be desired in my opinion. We bought an additional unit for this and all three remote units easily synched with the base unit. One unit did have a totally dead battery in it, but it quickly recharged after being left on the charger. We can’t begin to say how much we love the call blocking feature. It’s remarkably easy to add a number, either when it’s ringing or by searching through the call history. Suddenly our house is much quieter now and we can actually get some peace and quiet knowing this unit is stopping those pesky telemarketers. The one feature I wish it had is a lighted push to talk button. If you pick up the phone in the dark you can’t tell which button is the one to push to answer it, which can be kind of annoying if you’ve been woken up to answer the phone. While the keypad is lighted, it would be most helpful if the other buttons were as well. We’ve also found the battery to last a long time, which is refreshing given the fact that our old Radio Shack batteries were starting to wear out. Overall we’re very happy with this new unit and would happily recommend it to anyone looking for a phone that has lots of features, a good price, and nice styling.
5 Stars Great Value in a Cordless Phone
The DECT2185-3 cordless phone system, like most of Uniden’s phones offers the consumer great value for the money.
This phone set has a 70-name directory capacity with each handset having the same or different contacts (your option. It’s extremely versatile. Most manufacturers only offer a 50-capacity directory with all handsets sharing the same contacts.
Although the DECT 2185-3 includes 3 handsets, you can add an additional 3 for a total of 6. Each extra handset (DCX210) is a very reasonable $29.99 each.
Other plusses include excellent sound quality, 8 ringer tones, most of which are melodic–not harsh tones. If you want the Star Spangled Banner as your ring tone, this phone has it!. A lighted keypad and base and battery display are also included.
Only negative with this phone is that a larger LCD screen would make it even easier to read, especially for someone with visual impairment.
If you are looking for a cordless phone set that offers features as opposed to style, this is one to consider.

4 Stars Excellent phone…
This is a fantastic buy for the price. It is a full featured, expandable phone (up to six handsets I believe), and does not have an answerer (who doesn’t have voicemail?). The sound quality is excellent – best I have experienced. The base is tiny and unobtrusive and the handset light. The batteries are NiMH AAA and included! No need to buy an expensive proprietary battery. NiMH batteries also don’t have the memory effect that NiCD batteries do. I still recommend that you not charge up your phone every night (unless you talk A LOT!), but battery issues should not be a problem with this phone. And if it is, replacements are <$10 away. How cool??? It is well-priced here at Amazon. The display is the nicest I have seen on a Panasonic phone, and I have used several: the text is very readable, and quite larger than my previous Panny phones. This phone also includes the belt clip, which was not included in some previous phones. I like it!
Now the niggles that take it down from a 5 (likely a 4.5 really). Still a bear to enter stuff manually into the phone book. Pretty lame choices for ring tones. Most critically, I am not sure if it is my ear anatomy or not, but I tend to form a suction effect on the headset such that at times I am unable to hear, I move the phone, it pops off my ear and I can hear again. I just need to remember to keep it loosely near my ear, not “clamped on” tight…
I highly recommend this phone, very very impressed.
5 Stars 5 star phone! Highly Recommended…
I recently bought another Philips cordless phone and it was sooo terrible – it was completely nuts, at the least it was anti-intuitive. I gave up trying to get used to it, got my money back and bought this one for HALF the price! This phone is worth every penny; it is effortless to use and has incredible voice/sound clarity. Seriously – pick this one up and make yourself happy…!
3 Stars Good basic phone, stupid menu system
I wanted a simple cordless phone without an answering machine, without multiple handsets, without a built-in jacuzzi or bread machine, just a phone. This one has a nice compact design and good sound quality.
Along with many other Japanese consumer products however, the menu system and manual are so incredibly stupid that you could entertain guests at a party just by reading the owner’s manual out loud.
Example: This phone has Caller ID. I frequently want to check who a missed call was from. So this is how you do it. Ready? Here we go:
Press Menu
Press #
Press 2
Press 1
Press 3
Press Down
There you go! Only SIX buttons to remember in order to look at your last missed call!
There are dozens of these codes for different phone settings – but nowhere in the owner’s manual is there a chart of all of them in one place. Panasonic always makes nice looking, long lasting hardware, but their manual-writing department inevitably produces these very poor efforts. I guess as a corporation they just do not think the ease of use is important. Or perhaps they do not understand how non-Japanese perceive the user interface. Panasonic, if you are listening, this definitely hurts the overall product experience. Three stars.
4 Stars It is perfect
Phone has a great clarity of screening for caller id. Also light weight and nice looking…..And found the jack for a headset. Making me a fan of the phone. Do agree that the instruction book is somewhat convoluted and not well written but think for the price it is an excellent phone.
5 Stars Clear
Item was received on time and in good condition.
Model is compact, modern and nice looking. Can be extended to more units if desired.
Clear sound, easy to use.
(Just a note this can only be used in the americas with 120 v, if you plan to travel abroad with this to 240 v areas, you will need to add a transformer and a converter)

1 Star Failed on first use
This product had to be returned. On the first attempt to dial a phone number the display froze. The instruction booklet provided no help. Could not find a way to clear the display. Did not like all the fancy colored attachments. This phone is more about appearance than utility.
4 Stars Vtech cordless phone LS6217
I like everything about this except for the comfort of holding it. It does not have the usual rounded back that I am used to.
4 Stars VERY GOOD/COOL PHONE BUT YOU CAN ONLY USE ONE HANDSET
THE TITLE SAYS IT ALL. THIS IS A VERY GOOD PHONE. I BOUGHT FOR A STEAL ON CLEARANCE AT A BIG BOX STORE. IT SUCKS THAT YOU CAN’T UPGRADE TO MORE THAN ONE HANDSET. MY BATTERY TIME SUCKS…BUT IT’S PROBABLY BEEN SETTING IN THAT STORE FOR A COUPLE OF YEARS!
1 Star Horrible phone
I got this as a gift, I had no idea it doesn’t have a hands free mode. What crappy company would make a phone in the year 2009 without a speakerphone? I have a Vtech phone from 1999 with a speakerphone. Even free cell phones have speakerphones. Also, the phone itself is not comfortable to hold. Do not buy this horrible phone.
