5 Stars A great cordless phone for not too much money
We bought this one to replace an old Radio Shack unit that was starting to wear out. Initially we were looking at a Panasonic unit that offered call blocking, a feature we wanted to stop those annoying telemarketing calls. After some searching I found this unit, which also offered the call blocking capability. After some serious comparison shopping we opted to go with this unit, which so far we have not regretted at all. It’s relatively easy to set up, although the directions leave a bit to be desired in my opinion. We bought an additional unit for this and all three remote units easily synched with the base unit. One unit did have a totally dead battery in it, but it quickly recharged after being left on the charger. We can’t begin to say how much we love the call blocking feature. It’s remarkably easy to add a number, either when it’s ringing or by searching through the call history. Suddenly our house is much quieter now and we can actually get some peace and quiet knowing this unit is stopping those pesky telemarketers. The one feature I wish it had is a lighted push to talk button. If you pick up the phone in the dark you can’t tell which button is the one to push to answer it, which can be kind of annoying if you’ve been woken up to answer the phone. While the keypad is lighted, it would be most helpful if the other buttons were as well. We’ve also found the battery to last a long time, which is refreshing given the fact that our old Radio Shack batteries were starting to wear out. Overall we’re very happy with this new unit and would happily recommend it to anyone looking for a phone that has lots of features, a good price, and nice styling.

5 Stars Great Value in a Cordless Phone
The DECT2185-3 cordless phone system, like most of Uniden’s phones offers the consumer great value for the money.

This phone set has a 70-name directory capacity with each handset having the same or different contacts (your option. It’s extremely versatile. Most manufacturers only offer a 50-capacity directory with all handsets sharing the same contacts.

Although the DECT 2185-3 includes 3 handsets, you can add an additional 3 for a total of 6. Each extra handset (DCX210) is a very reasonable $29.99 each.

Other plusses include excellent sound quality, 8 ringer tones, most of which are melodic–not harsh tones. If you want the Star Spangled Banner as your ring tone, this phone has it!. A lighted keypad and base and battery display are also included.

Only negative with this phone is that a larger LCD screen would make it even easier to read, especially for someone with visual impairment.

If you are looking for a cordless phone set that offers features as opposed to style, this is one to consider.

4 Stars Reasonable for the Technology, Features, Quality, and Price.
We purchased this phone to replace our old Uniden. We wanted the DECT 6 technology for the clearer sound, and that was a big improvement over our old phone. We, also, wanted a built-in corded phone, but not for the advertised reason (Power-Outage capability), we wanted it because “I” could never fid a hand set when the phone rang, but with this phone I know there will always be one stuck to the base.

If you’re looking for a useful tool with high tech features and reasonable quality and price, you’ll be happy you’ve purchased this phone.

3 Stars Uniden DECT 6.0 A phone that rates so-so !
I purchased these phones to replace one with a few less features but was very good quality. My older developed a problem in the answering machine part. I shopped around looking for phones that had “speaker” phone capabilities on all of the units, the corded base and two cordless extensions. The phones offered the features I wanted but aren’t very good quality with respect to sound or operation. The cordless phones have to stay reasonably close to the base or the received signal fades in and out. I’m not talking about taking it outside, I mean in the next room and within sight of the base. The speaker phone sound quality is fairly good on the base unit but marginal on the cordless units. That might be because of the issue of not working well when a little distance away from the base. It does have lighted keypads on the cordless phones, a nice feature that isn’t on the base. The base does have a display screen that illuminates when the handset is picked up. All in all, the phones work alright, I was just a bit disappointed in the sound and distance issues. I tried to save a few dollars purchasing phones with a lot of nice features and they do have several nice ones. I could have spent more money and bought better qality but that’s true of any product on the market.

Would I recommend this phone? Yes, if you have a limited budget and want to be frugal, buy it. It works and works dependably and I suppose that’s all that matters. I am spoiled because it isn’t quite as good as the one it replaced.

4 Stars Very good albeit expensive
The AT&T TL7600 DECT 6.0 cordless headset connects perfectly and has very good sound quality. Mic works fine and is clear to the person on the other end of the call. No interference throughout our 2-story house.

The over-the-ear hook didn’t work well for us, but the behind-the-head band functions fine. So does the over-the-head band, although we don’t use it. All three are included and easily interchangeable. The two headbands make replacing the headset on its charging stand a little clumsy, but don’t interfere with charging.

Our only quibble — and mostly why we give the unit 4 stars — is that it’s pricey. We’d still recommend it as a companion to compatible AT&T phones.

5 Stars Fantastic sound quality
I was so worried about sound quality of headsets. This product has exceeded by far my expectations. Everyone that I’ve talked to has commented how clear my voice is. I also like the different options on how to wear the headset. I prefer the option with the “over-the-head” clip which is extremely comfortable at the ear and I got used to the feeling of this clip on my head quickly. I also tried the “in-the-ear” option which seemed fine; not sure how that would that feel over an extended period. All in all, this is a fantastic product.

- complaints from people that I talk that the volume is too low and they have a hard time hearing me

- over the hear wearable-option works poorly > doesn’t stay on well

3 Stars AT&T cordless headset worked as described but clunky
The headset worked as described and had great sound, clarity, range, etc. However, the headset is fairly long and it’s certainly much larger than most bluetooth earpieces now days. So much so, that I’m returning the headset and looking into getting the AT&T phones that work with bluetooth. There were no issues with the headset function and others may find it totally suitable for their use. It was just too long/awkward for me. Shame they couldn’t make it smaller. Everything else about it was great.

1 Star Junk
The headset broke while trying to attach the headband and had to be returned. I bought this product as a birthday present for my wife so I was not happy with the poor quality and how cheaply made this product is. Even before the product broke I was not happy with the poor quality. I have the Detect 6.0 phones from AT&T and have been very satisfied with them. Thankfully Amazon makes returning merchandise easy.

2 Stars disapointed
When I first got this phone I loved it. After 8 months it pooped out. Battery life is terrible.

4 Stars Great phone
Great phone for the elderly! Phone has “big numbers” and volume settings for the hard of hearing. Also wireless is a plus so you do not have to worry about cords or extensions

1 Star Replacement battery pack
Guess what? No one has a replacement battery pack for this model! In less then a year, the battery is running out as my phone is blinking and beeping and screeching…and after hours online at various places and on the phone….have come to the realization that there is no replacement batteries available. Throw away phone!!!

3 Stars One little hitch
We needed a new cordless phone with enhanced hearing capability and it seems OK for that purpose. But here’s the hitch — when an incoming call rings it lights up and warbles all over the place but at a very low level of sound!!!!! This for a phone we got to hear better!!!! When the TV is on we can just barely hear the phone ring.

1 Star I will not recommend.
I bought the phone for my 92 year old mother , but I myself had trouble using it. There is so much buzzing interference sound and for some reason the telephone battery charge seems not staying long . But I just know I did not like the phone myself and the more it will not work with my 92 year old mother who has trouble hearing.
