I’m planning to buy Panasonic DECT 6.0 from US and will be using it in India. Does anyone have idea if this cordless works in India?
Does this frequence work in India (1.9 ghz) also i read somewhere that caller id doesnt work, is that true?

It needs caller ID, and answering machine and two handsets.
The phone only needs a one line connection since one of two is dedicated to credit card validations/Internet connections.
I have always had good luck with Panasonic, but I was wondering if there is any other brands that are as good or better.

I am looking for a cordless phone with certain features – I have searched everywhere online and cannot find exactly what I need:

It must have:
NO answering machine – PERIOD
Single line phone – not 2 lines
Either 5.8 digital or 6.0 DECT
Base keypad with speakerphone and caller ID
Voice Mail indicator light
2 handsets, or one main handset with base and ability to add another handset
Caller ID and speakerphone capabilities in the handsets
Good reviews

Just when I think I have found "the one" I see it has an answering machine – I DON’T WANT THAT

I have a corldess phone set with all of these features but it is a 2.4 Ghz and I would like to upgrade to 5.8 / 6.0.

Know of any?

I recently purchases a Vtech ia5874 cordless phone with an answering machine. I like the phone but the caller ID doesn’t show up until after the second ring. this wasn’t an issue before purchasing this phone and my non Vtech phone works perfectly. Customer support are a bunch of idiots and not helpful. anyone else have this problem and if so did you correct it?

my cousin has gifted me a uniden 7955 cordless phone from Australia. I am in India. I am facing a problem regarding the caller id function which is not workiing .
