Author: i wanna get a cordless with base dialing, speaker phone and two additional handsets. Uniden phones look cool but I am not sure if they are durable or not.

They are crap. Ive had tried at least 4 and returned every single one of them.. They may look nice but dont jusge anything on its looks.
I love V-Tech
Not that great actually. I had some and they died within months. Just pay more money and get a sony or a better name brand.
Buy a Panasonic! they are dependable and very sexy if you find the right one! lasted for 4 years! I just need to replace the battery thats all!
Uniden phones are crappy. I had one a few years ago, and while I don’t remember what I hated about it, I vowed never to get another.
My current phone is a Panasonic. It’s a 5.8 Gigaset with an answering machine, color display and talking caller ID.
My previous phone was a V-Tech Gigaset. It had all the features I wanted. The only reason I didn’t get it this time around was because it doesn’t have talking Caller ID.
I’ve had a set for 2+ years with no issues. DCT-646, I think.
Speaker phone works fine. It’s not perfect like a Polycom, but it works well enough.
we used to have the 2.4 GHz digital uniden phones. after my wife dropped it too many times the speaker was not too good. Other than that it worked really well.
We now have the 5.8GHz digital from uniden with 4 handsets and we like them a lot.
speaker phone, intercom etc. They are available as a set at costco. i think a main base plus 3 handsets 2 chargers and one headset is about $129.
If you need more handsets, they are about 40 each but you can get some on ebay on reconditionned from uniden at uniden.com
