User Ratings and Reviews

5 Stars Great tire inflator
After my VW Passat had given me a TPMS warning, I looked at several tire inflators on Amazon, and decided to buy this one because it seemed to have the most features for a fair price; it has since proven to be a good choice on my part. This tire inflator is very portable and comes with a long enough wire to reach all 4 tires with plenty of slack to spare. It comes with a light, and best of all, it has a built-in tire pressure gauge (which I’ve verify with another tire pressure gauge to be fairly accurate) that shuts off at a pre-set PSI of your choosing. So it’s a very simple matter to inflate all 4 tires to the exact same recommended PSI setting. The only small downside of this inflator is that a small amount of air will always escape when you remove the hose from the tire, so you might have to compensate a little for that. However this is a very small fault for an otherwise fantastic piece of equipment that I think every car owner should have.

4 Stars very pleased
I have used this 5 times and have been very pleased with the product.

The convenient case is an added bonus– it seems durable enough to be “tossed” about in the trunk and still function properly!

5 Stars small product with something big to give
i was spectacle of what this little pump can do, but I was amazed. it was able to raise a tire from 25psi to 35 psi in about a little more than half a minute. this thing works really well, and it even has an auto shut off. handle to store in your trunk in case of emergency. but i would recommend something more heavy duty for garage use.

4 Stars Good value for price
I bought this item to replace an old Interdynamics compressor that finally stopped working. The Campbell compressor inflates tires pretty quickly and is easy to use. However, a couple of warnings:

1. You will have to fiddle around to get the inflation cut-off point right. I had to set it to about 40 p.s.i. to get 32 p.s.i. to remain in the tires. The air chuck makes a very tight connection to the valve stem and you lose at least 5 p.s.i. while removing it.

2. The little compartment for the air hose and power cord is useless: You’ll never get both back in there without a lot of work. I use it only for the air hose and just wrap the power cord around the unit.

3. The unit is noisy and vibrates quite a bit. It was dancing around my concrete garage floor so much that I just hold it in my hand while it’s working.

4 Stars worth it
i had a campbell hausfeld air infaltor before this, but it finally died after 10+ years. so, i decided to try it again with this model. it worked until a flood kill it (~1.5 years). although “ideal for roadside emergencies”, i used it monthly for 2 cars and 1 SUV.

pros

the “feet” hold it in place fairly well (much better than old one!)

tiny size

price

cons

automatic shut off feature died in less than 10 uses

the gauge was a few psi off compared to a digital gauge (but aren’t they all?)

just as loud as the old one

now this review may seem a bit negative, but for $25, it did its job.

i’m probably going to buy the Viair 00073 70P this time; it seems like the “best bang for the buck”.
